    1) The formative assessment in SSC Board carries 20 marks. The 20 marks is given to students through practical/orals/assignment/activities based on the subject.
    2) The formative assessment is aimed at reducing the pressure of the students from writing a paper of 100 marks.

    2) They provides the platform for active involvement of students in their own learning.
    3)They make learning more transparent by establishing and communicating goals.
    4) They ensure that the lessons include different approaches to explain new concepts.

  4. Examples of formative assessment in SSC school boards:-
    1)Day to Day observation.
    Oral work(Question answer, loud reading, dailogues/conversation, roleplay, interview, group discussion, etc.).
    2)Practical / Experiments.
    Activity(Individual, Group, Self Study).
    3)Projects.
    4)Tests(Informal small duration written tests, open book, etc.).
    5)Home work/ Class work(Informative, descriptive, essay, report, story, letter, dailogue, expressing imagination, etc.).
    6)Others( Questionnaire, self evaluation, peer evaluation, group work and other similar tool).
    7 ) Drawing​ a concept map in class to represent their understanding of a topic.
    8)submit one or two sentences identifying the main point of a lecture.
    turn in a research proposal for early feedback,etc.

    1. a) Reflect as an evidence. It identify's the gap between the current performance and expected goals.
      b) helps students to identify their strength and weakness that help student to overcome their weakness and work on the targeted goals.
      c) Weekly Quizz is conducted.
      d) Home assignment are given based on the lesson taught on that particular day.
      e) discussion time is given to students after the lesson is complete.

  5. Feature of Summative assessment in SSC Board:

    1) It is the procedure to assess or grade level of learning in certain period of time.

    2)It is positive, tending to stress what students can do rather than what they cannot.

    3) It tends to stress local effects.

    4)It is un oppressive and not reactive as far as possible.

    7) It does not pin-point difficulties faced by the learner.

    8) It reinforces learning of the students who has learnt an area.

    9) It is terminal in nature as it comes at the end of a course of instruction.
